Mehndi

The art of mehndi, or henna body art, is an exquisite art form which has been practiced for centuries in places like India. Mehndi is the art of applying designs to one's skin with the paste made from it's powder form.

Traditionally, henna is used on the hands and feet, the dye lasting between one to three weeks. Today mehndi is seen not only at weddings and religious occasions, but also at various western cultural events and festivals. Before getting any henna done you should be aware of the process and care of this body art i.e. how long it takes to apply, how long to leave the paste on your skin, and aftercare.

One can change the color of Mehndi, from green leaves to changing shades of burnt orange, red, burnished rust, brown and burgundy.
